Finding My Rhythm Again: Life, a New Role, and the Journey of Raising My Beagle

It’s been a while since I last posted here on gigimotivation.com. Life has been full, beautifully full, overwhelmingly full, and sometimes chaotically full. Over the past months, I stepped into a new role, adjusted to new responsibilities, and tried to find balance in a schedule that suddenly felt tighter than ever.
And right in the middle of all that… I brought home a 2‑month‑old beagle.
Getting a puppy while navigating a new job is not for the faint of heart. It meant early mornings, structured days, and learning to prioritize differently. But it also brought joy, purpose, and a new kind of motivation — the kind that comes from watching a little creature grow, learn, and trust you more every day.
Two Months of Non‑Stop Training
From the moment my beagle arrived, we started training. Not casually — non‑stop. Every day became part of her learning journey.
We worked on:
Puppy foundations — routine, calmness, structure
Basic obedience — sit, down, stay, focus
Recall — essential for a beagle
Confidence building — new environments, new people, new dogs
Impulse control — especially around excitement
Social behavior — still a work in progress
My beagle is independent. She loves to bark at other dogs from a distance, announcing herself like she’s the queen of the forest. She can be very vocal when she wants to approach other dogs — her way of saying, “I’m here! Let me go!” We’re still working on that, and that’s okay.
I don’t expect perfection, especially not after only eight months of living together. What I expect is progress, and she gives me that every single day.
Growing Together, Step by Step
What makes her special isn’t just her intelligence or her energy — it’s her spirit. She wants to explore, understand, and connect. And even though she’s independent, she checks in with me constantly. She follows me, looks for guidance, and tries her best to understand what I’m asking.
There are moments when she chooses calm over chaos. Moments when she listens instead of reacting. Moments when she shows me that all the training, all the patience, all the consistency… is working.
Those moments are everything.
What’s Next: Forest Detective Training
Now that my beagle has completed her puppy training, basic obedience, and recall, we’re ready for the next chapter — one that feels like it was made for her:
Detective training in the forest.
Beagles are scent-driven dogs. Their noses are powerful, curious, and always searching. Detective training will teach her to:
Search for objects
Follow scent trails
Work independently with purpose
Use her natural instincts in a structured way
I can already imagine her running through the trees, tail up, nose down, fully in her element. This is where she will shine.
And Yes — My Diving Passion Is Still Alive
A lot of people ask me how I find time to do so many things. The truth is simple: planning, priorities, and routines.
When life gets busy, structure becomes your best friend. But when I’m on holiday… I disconnect completely. I drop all routines, all structure, all planning — and I let myself breathe.
And one thing I want to share with you is this: My passion for diving is not over.
Now that my beagle is almost an adult, I’ll soon be able to resume that activity. I can’t wait to explore the ocean again, to feel that freedom underwater, and to reconnect with a part of myself that has been waiting patiently.
And yes — I will share those adventures here too.
A Message to My Readers
If you’ve been following gigimotivation.com, thank you for your patience. Life gets busy. We grow, we adapt, and sometimes we pause. But this pause brought me something beautiful — a new chapter, a new companion, and a new source of motivation.
If you’re raising a dog, especially a young and energetic one, remember this: you don’t need perfection. You need connection. You need patience. You need progress.
My beagle isn’t perfect. She barks, she gets excited, she wants to greet every dog she sees. But she’s learning. She’s growing. She’s becoming the best version of herself — and so am I.
This journey is messy, beautiful, challenging, and full of love. And I’m grateful to be living it.
